Paladin Dialer

Fix Dialer problems

The message you see, and what to do about it.

Find the message or problem you see below. Most Dialer problems come from one of three things: the app isn’t connected, the phone isn’t on your account, or the call was placed from outside the app.

  • “Sign-in failed.” The dashboard address, email or password is wrong. Check that they work in your browser. The address is the one you sign in to Paladin at; pasting the whole address from your browser is fine.
  • “Your account has no phone number assigned.” Ask your Paladin admin to assign you a Paladin number.
  • “This account can’t get a PIN automatically.” Ask your Paladin admin for your PIN, enter it, and tap Connect.
  • “Sign-in expired.” (a red bar on Calls or Contacts). Your dashboard password changed. Tap the gear, tap Disconnect this device, and connect again with the new password.
  • The call doesn’t reach the person. This phone needs to be one of the phones under Phone Numbers in your Profile in the dashboard. Add its number there.
  • The call isn’t in Paladin, or isn’t transcribed. It was placed from your phone’s own dialer, Contacts app or call log. Always start work calls from the Paladin Dialer.
  • “Invalid number.” The Dialer calls US numbers only: 10 digits, or 11 starting with 1.
  • “Could not start the call.” Your phone didn’t accept the call from the app. Try again. On Android, check that Paladin Dialer is allowed to make phone calls in your phone’s settings.
  • On Android, the Phone app opens with the call ready, but doesn’t call. You didn’t allow Paladin Dialer to make phone calls. Tap call in the Phone app, or allow the permission in your phone’s settings.
  • The Call in progress bar doesn’t appear. It takes about 15 seconds. Switch away from the app and back. See See a call live on your phone.
  • “Phone contacts are off.” You didn’t allow access to your contacts. Candidates and teammates still show. To see your phone’s contacts too, allow Paladin Dialer to access Contacts in your phone’s settings.
  • Only some of your phone’s contacts show (iPhone). You gave the app access to selected contacts only. In your iPhone’s settings, give Paladin Dialer full access to Contacts.
  • “No contacts yet.” Tap Reload contacts.
  • “Offline.” (a bar at the top). The app can’t reach Paladin, so it shows what it saved last time. Check your connection; the bar goes away when the app reconnects.
  • The TestFlight invitation doesn’t arrive (iPhone). Check spam. Check that the email you gave us is the one your Apple ID uses.
  • Android says the app isn’t installed. Uninstall the older Paladin Dialer from before September 2026, then install again.
