Archive a candidate

Archive a candidate you’re done with. They disappear from candidate lists, your Home tab and matching, but nothing is deleted. Their calls, texts, documents and opportunities stay, and you can restore them any time.

Before you start

The candidate must be yours, or you must be an admin.

1. Open Candidates and select the candidate.
2. At the top of the page, select Archive.
3. Confirm. You see “Candidate archived”.

What happens next

The candidate’s page now shows “Archived by” with your name and the date, and the Archive button becomes Restore. The candidate no longer shows in the Candidates list, on your Home tab, or when Paladin looks for matching candidates for a job.

If an archived candidate calls or texts you, Paladin still matches them to their record. They stay archived.

Find and restore an archived candidate

1. Open Candidates.
2. Under Status, choose Archived. The newest archived are at the top.
3. Select Restore on the candidate’s row, or open the candidate and select Restore.

The candidate comes back exactly as they were. To go back to the full list, select Show all candidates.

Note

There is no delete button for candidates. Archiving is how you take someone out of view, because deleting would also remove the calls and history other recruiters may rely on.

If something goes wrong

• There’s no Archive button. The candidate belongs to another recruiter. Ask them or an admin to archive it.
• You see “Could not archive the candidate” or “Could not restore the candidate”. Nothing changed. Refresh the page and try again.
