Jobs
Add a hiring manager
Link the client contact who owns a job.
Add the hiring manager from the job they’re hiring for. Paladin creates a contact record and links it to the job. One hiring manager can own several jobs, and you send them candidate reports from their page.
- Open Jobs and select the job.
- Scroll to the Hiring manager card and select Link / Create.
- Search by name, title, email, or company. If the hiring manager is already in Paladin, select them. You’re done.
- If they aren’t, select Create new hiring manager.
- Enter their Name. Add their Title, Email, and Phone if you have them. Company is filled in from the job; change it if it’s wrong.
- Select Save.
You can also add a hiring manager without a job: open Hiring Managers and select Add Hiring Manager. Link them to a job later from the job’s Hiring manager card.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”The Hiring manager card on the job shows their name and contact details. Select the name to open their page. To link someone else, select Change. To remove the link, select Unlink.
The hiring manager’s page lists their contact details, their jobs, the calls on those jobs, documents, and notes. Any recruiter can edit the contact details: select a value to change it.
To send them a candidate report, open their page and select Send report, then choose the report. Paladin downloads the report and opens a draft email to them in your email app. Attach the downloaded report and send it.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”- The Save button stays gray. The hiring manager needs a Name.
- Send report is gray. It needs two things: an email address on the hiring manager’s page, and at least one candidate report on one of their jobs. Add their email under Contact. The list only includes reports from your own calls, unless you’re an admin.
- The card shows a name and a Convert to record button. Someone typed the hiring manager’s details on this job before hiring managers were records. Select Convert to record to turn them into one.
- The same person shows up twice in Hiring Managers. Search before you create, and link the existing one.
